Here's my food journal for today:
I ate a bowl of steel cut oats with blueberries and brown sugar for breakfast at around 9:45 am. For lunch at 12, I ate 2 veggie patties with mustard, tomatoes, and onions and the bottoms of two wheat buns. And some shaved fennel. I had a slice of wheat bread with peanut butter and jelly at about 4:10. At 6:20, I had a grande soy latte and a fruit cup from Starbucks. When I got to the dining hall for dinner about 15 minutes later, there was literally nothing I wanted to eat, so I had some cucumbers and some more coffee with soymilk. Then I had a piece of pita bread with hummus. And then, when I was watching a movie for class, I ate WAAAAAY too many pistachios. I had picked up a bag of them in CVS on my way home from Ballet Stretch (which was killer today) and now at least half of the bag is gone. Bleh.
I'm proud of most of my food decisions today. It would have been better if instead of eating the pistachios right of the bag in a dark room when I'm not paying attention to what I'm doing if I portioned them out. Which I will do in the future. Other than that, I think that I did a pretty great job, food-wise. I also went to ballet stretch at the yoga studio today which is an hour and 15 minute floor-barre class that left me so sore I basically had to hobble back to campus after.
My goals for tomorrow:
In the morning, Shirley and I are going to pilates and NIA at the yoga studio. Here's the place we've been going to: http://ldy.otpartners.com/
I plan on getting up in time to have breakfast before we go. I need to make an effort to eat as soon as I get up to get my metabolism going.
Today, I didn't eat after 9:30 pm and I'm working on moving that time earlier. I also need to get to bed and wake up earlier. I read that the most important thing for a consistent schedule is getting up at the same time each day, so I'm going to work on that.
I also need to get in cardio; more specifically, running.
I'll post a progress picture tomorrow.
